Record your screen with no time limit for free with audio.

We believe screen recording should be effortless. Whether you’re creating a tutorial, capturing a bug report, or saving a live stream, our tool ensures your focus remains on your content, not on countdown timers or watermarks.

Your Privacy is Our Priority: The Power of Local Recording

Unlike most web applications, our screen recording solution operates on a no-backend architecture.

This is a critical difference: the entire recording process is handled by JavaScript using your device's native capabilities. Your recorded media remains 100% within your browser’s local storage.

Effortless Management of Your Screen Captures

Keeping your workspace organized is easy. All your video sessions are displayed in a clean, card-based interface, neatly categorized by their recorded dates.

Key Features for Managing Your Recordings:

Intuitive, Always-Ready Controls

The interface is designed for maximum efficiency. The Start Recording button remains conveniently fixed at the bottom of your screen. When recording begins, it is instantly replaced by the necessary Pause and Stop buttons, which remain fixed for easy access throughout your session. If you hit 'Pause', it seamlessly changes to a 'Resume' button, ensuring you never miss a moment.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is this screen recorder genuinely free and unlimited?
Yes, absolutely! We offer unlimited screen recording time at no cost. There are no premium features, no mandatory sign-ups, and no hidden fees to unlock full functionality. Use it as often as you need, for as long as you need.
Where are my recordings saved and how private are they?
Your recordings are saved only in your browser's local storage on the specific device you used for recording. They are completely private because we operate on a no-backend model, meaning the video files are never uploaded to the internet or any server we control. Your data stays with you.
Does this tool record both my screen and my voice?
Yes, it does! When you click 'Start Recording', your browser will prompt you to grant permissions for both your screen/window/tab and your microphone. This capability allows you to create comprehensive tutorials, voice-over presentations, and interactive walkthroughs with synchronized audio.
What happens if my browser is too old or doesn't support the feature?
We perform a compatibility check the moment you load the page. If your current browser is missing the necessary web APIs for direct browser screen recording, a clear message will be displayed on the page, letting you know immediately. We recommend using the latest versions of major browsers like Chrome, Firefox, or Edge for the best experience.
Can I download my recorded videos to my computer?
Yes, the Download button on each recording card is self-explanatory. Clicking it prompts your browser to save the video file directly to your computer's local hard drive.
How do I delete multiple recordings at once?
To delete multiple recordings, simply click on the cards you wish to remove. They will zoom out slightly to indicate selection. Once you've selected your files, a Delete All button will appear at the bottom of the page. Click it, confirm your choice, and the selected files will be instantly cleared from your local storage.
I clicked Start Recording, but I don't see any files popping up on my computer! Where did my video go? Is it lost?
Absolutely not lost! That is the best thing about this app. Your recording is safely stored inside your web browser right now. Since we don't upload anything to the internet, you must finish and then click the Download button on the video card to save the file to your computer's hard drive. Your videos are listed right on this page!
I usually have to sign up and give you my email. Are you going to trick me and ask for money later, or do I need an account?
Never! This tool is completely free and requires zero signup, zero email, and zero accounts. We keep it simple. You open the link, you record, you download. That’s it. No tricks, no hidden costs.
When I click 'Start Recording,' it asks me for permission. Why do I have to share my whole screen? Is someone watching me right now?
Nobody is watching you! Your browser (like Chrome or Firefox) is just asking for your permission to access your screen so it can record it. This is a standard security step. We only use that access to save the video file locally on your device. Once you stop recording, the permission goes away.
I saw the little timer running forever! Does this mean the recording never stops? Will it fill up my whole computer?
Great observation! We offer unlimited recording time, which means we don't force you to stop. However, to finish, you must click the big Stop button that appears at the bottom of the page. Don't worry about filling up your whole computer—the app monitors your browser's storage, and you can easily delete old videos when you are done with them!
I accidentally named my video 'My super special video with spaces and weird characters!'. Will my computer break? How do I fix the name?
Your computer is safe! Our app is smart. When you click the Rename button and type in a new name, we automatically clean up the title for you. We take care of all the spaces and weird symbols so your file name works perfectly on any device. Just click Rename and give it the new title.
I have 10 recordings now, and I only want to delete the first three. It’s too much work! Is there a faster way than clicking delete 3 times?
Absolutely, there is a faster way! This is what the Batch Delete feature is for. Simply click on the cards for the three videos you want to remove. You'll see them slightly fade to show they are selected. Then, just click the Delete All button that appears at the bottom. One click, three videos gone!
I recorded something, but now I closed the browser tab. When I open the link again, are all my recordings gone forever?
No, your recordings are still safe! Because they are saved in your browser's local storage, as long as you use the same browser on the same device, they will all reload and appear on the page when you come back to the web address.
My video card shows a date and time. If I change the name of the video, will that date and time also change?
No, the date and time shown is when the recording was first created, and that never changes. You can rename the file as many times as you like, but the original recording date will always stay the same for your reference.
I pressed the 'Pause' button, and now it says 'Resume'! If I close the page now, will the video still be paused, or is it ruined?
If you close the page while the recording is paused, the recording is ruined, unfortunately. You must click Resume and then click the final Stop button to save the file correctly. Think of Pause as a brief time-out. If you need to walk away completely, press Stop first!
I clicked 'Preview' and a window popped up, but the video won't start playing! Is the file broken?
The file is likely not broken! When the preview window (the modal) opens, you must click the Play button that is visible on the video player itself. It won't start playing automatically, but as soon as you hit Play, it will work perfectly.
I don't see the 'Start Recording' button! Did it disappear? Is my computer too old to do this?
The Start Recording button is always fixed at the very bottom of the page! It only disappears when you are actively recording (and is replaced by the Pause/Stop buttons). If you don't see it, try scrolling all the way down. If you still can't see it, check the top of the page; your browser might be too old, and we display a message there if it can't support the feature.
I see the 'Used Storage' number, but it hasn't changed, even after I just recorded a five-minute video! Is my recording not being saved?
Don't worry, your recording is absolutely being saved! That storage number is not updated in real-time. It might take a moment, or you may need to refresh the page, before the app queries the browser again and shows the new, larger number. The best way to know your video is saved is by seeing its card appear below with the correct name and size.
When I delete an old video, the 'Used Storage' number doesn't drop instantly. Did the delete button not work, or is the video still taking up space?
The delete button worked perfectly! Because the storage information is not a live feed, you won't see the number drop immediately. The space has been freed up, but the display will only update when the app next checks the browser's memory, which is usually upon a page refresh or a new recording action. You can trust that the video is gone once its card disappears.
My screen recorder is black, but my friend's is white. I want the white one! How do I switch the color settings in the app?
The app itself does not have a color setting you can change. It automatically detects and uses whatever color mode (Dark Mode or Light Mode) you have set up on your device—your computer, tablet, or phone. If you want a white background, you must switch your device's overall operating system setting from Dark Mode to Light Mode. The app will then follow that change.
I selected 5 videos and I see the 'Delete All' button, but why isn't there a 'Download All' button? I don't want to click five times!
That's a great request, and we hear you! Right now, our system is built for speed and privacy, and due to browser security rules, we cannot download multiple videos at once. You must click the Download button on each card individually. We focused on making the recording reliable and private first.
I clicked on a video card, and it looks a little smaller and faded now. Is this a glitch? Did I ruin the video file?
That's not a glitch—it's a helpful signal! When you click a card, it gets slightly smaller and fades out a little bit to show you that it has been selected. This feature is there so you can pick multiple videos at once to delete them all quickly. Just click it again to unselect it if you change your mind.
The 'Start Recording' button is always stuck at the bottom, and the Pause/Stop buttons are stuck there too! Why do they follow me when I scroll?
They are designed to stay in place! This is called a fixed position, and we did this on purpose so that your most important controls—Start, Pause, and Stop—are always immediately accessible, no matter how many recordings you have on your screen. You never have to scroll to find the main action button!
